Continuing education. You have to do it. Simply getting your license isn’t enough.

Did you know that in order to renew your license, you have to complete CE courses?

Dealer licenses expire on March 31st of even-numbered years. So that’s 2022, 2024, 2026, so on, and so

on. They do not expire on odd-numbered years, only on even-numbered years. That means that a dealer license will last for two years. It may be less because of when the license is applied for, but a standard license term is two years expiring, March 31st of even-numbered years. Part of the renewal process requires that a dealer must obtain continuing education credits.

Six hours of accredited continuing education courses must be taken within nine months of the renewal of the license. So if the license is being renewed in March of the even year, then within the nine months preceding that renewal date, the dealer must have taken at least six hours of accredited continuing education course in order to renew the license.
